FAQ: Are job searches still waived, and what does that mean? Where can I keep track of the most current updates for this?

All unemployment benefit programs normally require that the claimant search for work. But during the pandemic emergency, because of the shortage of jobs, Governor Inslee has ordered the job search requirement waived. However, all benefit programs continue to enforce the requirement to be available for work. So if a claimant is offered a job that is considered suitable work for the claimant’s background, declining the job may make the claimant ineligible for benefits.
