Who We Are

The Unemployment Law Project provides free legal assistance and information to people in Washington State who have been denied unemployment benefits or whose award of benefits is being challenged.

With offices in Seattle and Spokane, Washington, we offer our services to anyone with a Washington State claim.

In 2010, we:

Represented 1,200 individuals at administrative hearings throughout the state;

Advised and educated claimants navigating the unemployment system on their own, through our helpline;

Litigated appeals in state courts;

Lobbied in the Washington Legislature in an effort to improve the law for all claimants.
