Unemployment Law Project --- We Defend Your Right To Unemployment Benefits

who we are

The Unemployment Law Project provides free legal assistance and information to people who have been denied unemployment benefits.

Staff

We have a staff of four lawyers, a paralegal, a legal assistant and a number of law students with externship and work-study status. Much of our work is accomplished by volunteers including lawyers and law students who donate generous amounts of time and professional skills to helping workers receive their unemployment benefits. Lay people also volunteer with us, helping with client intakes as well as general office tasks. In addition, we have an active board of directors who effectively provide direction to the organization.

Location and Contact Information

Our Seattle office is located in the historic Securities building downtown, on the northeast corner of Third and Stewart streets. There is ample on-street parking, as well as an adjacent lot that charges $4.00 for three hours of parking. Numerous bus lines pass by this location.

Our Spokane office is located in the Community Building, which houses a number of non-profits.

While most of our work is done over the phone, clients who live in the Spokane or Seattle areas are welcome to make an appointment and come into one of our offices.  If you would like to come into the office, please call to make an appointment.
